FAQ EN

What is cirrhosis?

Cirrhosis occurs when the liver uncontrollably regenerates to heal itself and forms fibrous scar tissue (fibrosis) and clusters of cells that do not follow the original architecture of the liver (nodules). Cirrhosis is the result of a prolonged hepatocyte injury. When it is complicated by active chronic hepatitis, it is called post-hepatic cirrhosis. This is a Metavir score of F4.
